Hi, I'm Jordan Huxley Smith, and this is my commentary on my Short Film: Reaching Out. Alex is a shut-in. He’s got extreme social anxiety. He ignores his mother’s calls and he spends all day inside - too scared to go out into the world. One day, he finally answers one of these calls, only to find that Baxter, an overly serious business-man, has called him on accident, believing Alex to work at the same company as him. Alex goes along with this to get him to go away. But then Baxter calls again. And then he calls again. And again. And again. Though initially seeming like complete opposites, over time they learn more about each other and help each other grow. Until one day, when the calls stop...
